“Good things always come in small packages” and Norbert is no exception.
This ball of fur might be only 3 pounds only but he has a heart way bigger than that.
He was adopted in the year of 2009, when he was 4 months old by his guardian Julie.
This adorable dog is a mix breed of Chihuahua, Cairn Terrier, and Lhasa Apso. He definitely one of a kind. As a puppy he was dark brown but over the years his color has changed to creamish grey.
With his adorable looks, Norbert is touching hearts.
His guardian noticed that Norbert possessed a unique quality of calming people around him. Wherever he went, people would be drawn by his aura and automatically smiled. Thus Julie trained him for a year to become a therapy dog and he passed the therapy dog licensing test.
So what does being a therapy dog involve for him? Emotional comfort and happiness to anyone who needs it. Currently he is a volunteer at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles according to norberthood.com.
He also provides help to special need kids, the elderly, burn victims and more.
But that’s just not all that he does. He is a full-time philanthropist who supports many charity events too.
According to Norberthood.com this adorable dog’s life purpose is to make others smile. I once thought I couldn’t do anything important because I’m so little, but I’ve learned you don’t have to be big to make a BIG difference in the world.”
Norbert is an expert at giving high fives that lighten up people’s mood!
With his many projects Norbert is making the world a happier place one high – five at a time.
