Robert Bezeau, a Canadian moved in 2009 to Bocas Del Toro an island in the Caribbean coast. After collecting a million used plastic bottles on this coast he decided to build a village with plastic bottles and the results are amazing.
The beauty of these eco- friendly homes are two- fold. One is that they look like any modern home once constructed and another is they are earthquake resistant. According to Bezeau, this home seems to have some flexibility and rigidity during earthquakes.
Watch this interesting video, and you will realize what a cool idea this is and how much it would help our planet.
