“Beans” don’t just include black beans or green beans, but also lentils, soybeans, chickpeas, and even peanuts. Yes, peanuts are beans!

A fact that one should remember is that beans are critical to global food security, especially in the face of climate change. As our global population continues to expand, it’s so important to have a supply of crops that can survive a variety of growing conditions.
