Allie Hall knew her 6-year-old son, Henry, was passionate about the environment. But when he got upset over a school video about pollution, even she was surprised. See what he’s doing about it!
MOUNT VERNON, WA — Henry Marr may only be 6-years-old, but he’s already learned that he can help the environment, even at a young age.
The boy’s passionate speech about the environment went viral, with more than 82,000 views on YouTube, and 17 million views on Facebook. In the video, he cries and expresses his hatred for people who don’t properly care for the planet. His mother caught the whole thing on camera.
“The planet is gonna be wrecked,” Henry says between sobs. “People are just being rude to it.”
Since the video went viral, Henry has written a book entitled, “Enjoy the Planet, Don’t Wreck It.” His mother also started a Facebook page for her son called “Henry the Emotional Environmentalist.”
Henry also began patrolling a park near his neighborhood, picking up litter, and blowing his whistle at “naughty people” who don’t take care of the earth.
“I’m going to try to get the whole United States to clean the planet,” he said.
Henry wants to be a park ranger when he grows up, but in the meantime, he’s enjoying his new-found fame.
